What the teams are asked to do by Day 2

The following elements of formative assessment were the subject of teachers’ experimentation:

  1. Finding strategies for creating high self-efficacy through a ‘growth mindset’ culture (Carol Dweck); using learning ‘powers’ to help children reflect on how they learn and removing comparative rewards.
  2. The impact of cognitive science in helping memory
  3. Decontextualized learning intentions and co-constructed success criteria to maximum effect.
  4. Establishing random talk partners and mixed ability.
