What the teams are asked to do by Day 2

The following elements of formative assessment were the subject of teachers’ experimentation:

  1. Finding strategies for creating high self-efficacy through a ‘growth mindset’ culture and removing comparative rewards, ability grouping and ego related praise; using learning ‘powers’ to help children reflect on how they learn
  2. Establishing random talk partners which change frequently to activate children as learning resources for each other.
  3. Decontextualising learning intentions and co-constructing success criteria.
