What the teams are asked to do by Day 2
The following elements of formative assessment were the subject of teachers’ experimentation:
- Finding strategies for creating high self-efficacy through a ‘growth mindset’ culture and removing comparative rewards, ability grouping and ego related praise; using learning ‘powers’ to help children reflect on how they learn
- Establishing random talk partners which change frequently to activate children as learning resources for each other.
- Decontextualising learning intentions and co-constructing success criteria.
