Two teachers used knowledge organisers in children’s books as the first page of their topic books and displayed it on the wall. This supported vocabulary, reinforced learning and raised children’s self-efficacy as they experienced success.
Three teachers had encouraged note-taking in lessons. Some children had responded well. Some tried to write down everything, so this needs training.
