All teachers had co-constructed success criteria with some struggles. They had used the TA as a scribe for the criteria. Children spotted mistakes which fed into the success criteria. Children were able to talk about the steps which really helped lower achievers.
Three teachers had kept previous work and used these as examples of good one under the visualiser to co-construct the criteria. Two teachers were using Read Write Inc which has its own success criteria.
Two teachers had stopped asking children to write success criteria in their books. This has given more time and therefore better understanding.
All teachers have knowledge organisers which are under review. These are sent home to parents and are put on the working wall. Pop quizzes are linked to skills and knowledge.
