One teacher used Austin’s butterfly as inspiration for a lesson drawing a butterfly. The TA modelled how to use helpful language for improvement. They generated success criteria for copying a drawing such as selecting the right colours, correct shapes etc.
The learning pit was also used to describe their feelings when it became tricky.
