A variety of techniques were used for co-construction, taking a lot of time to create good/great examples, but it was very important and a very useful tool. You have to tailor this to your class. Looking at old previous learning to create criteria was useful.
Children have more ownership of their choices having been involved in the co-construction.
Decontextualising is applicable throughout topics, lessons and the whole school so that it can be transferred.
