Talk partners had been successful in secondary, but particularly with top sets, who were now more sociable, have a higher level of engagement and have progressed in levels. They no longer ‘get comfy’ with each other, where one student does all the work. Talk partners was good for peer assessment.
It was more difficult with lower sets who need more training.
