Age 5-7: Y1/2 (K/1 Grade US) 2014 Feedback from Day 2

Teachers were changing every two weeks. One autistic child couldn’t cope with changing places all the time with one week and relationships didn’t have enough chance to develop.

One school had ‘Kagan’ pairs which were completely random every day. Children then get to talk to a greater range of partners.

Talk partner compliment slips made children feel valued and special.
Success criteria for talk partners included ‘phone a friend’.

One school has a book for each child to write to each other a peer evaluation.
